Across the continent, the flavours, colours and elements of African food, are a part of who we are. Indigenous takes us on a journey as we explore the gift of African cuisine and the traditions that shape them.

From Ghana, through Kenya to Zambia, award-winning blogger and Economist Jemila Abdulai, discovers the source of our food, shares meals with experts and food lovers, learns new recipes from the Alchemist and explores the challenges of food security and what needs to be done for the future.

Travel with Jemila as she explores villages and cities discovering why we should support our indigenous foods.  She learns about the nutritious meals made using forgotten and underutilized crops.  Learn how farmers are battling against climate change to support their livelihoods and preserve indigenous traditions.
